Hello my crafty friends!

Ok so here is my project that I linked up!

I made this cute gift bag by hand using just my score-pal and some score-tape. The pretty patterned paper is from SEI. SEI has always been one of my favorite paper companies and I adore their papers, especially some of their older lines. I used my Spellbinder's Beaded Ovals die to cut out the solid tangerine CS and then I cut out another patterned paper oval using a smaller size oval. I layered both of these ovals on top of a doily that had been inked up using some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. I did a lot of layering but surprisingly enough, I did not do any stamping on this project. Hard to believe huh? LOL

I added another inked up doily to the top of my bag, folded it over and punched two holes, one on each side using my crop-o-dile. I threaded some beautiful satin brown ribbon through and tied a bow. My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I could not get my ribbon to work with me for my bow so unfortunately I had given up and decided to take the picture with a "discombobulated" bow LOL. Sorry!

To finish this bag up and make it all purty, I added some peach and orange roses that I got from Wild Orchid Crafts, a beautiful goldenrod flower from Recollections and a sweet glittery butterfly that I sprayed with my homemade glimmer mist that I named, "Sunset" because it is a mixture of gold, peach and metallic copper and it resembles the colors of a beautiful sun setting on a warm summer night. The butterfly came from my stash. I don't remember which company makes them.

Well that is my project for you today and I sure hope it has inspired you to make a craft the old fashioned way without any electronic die cutting machines or stamps! Just some paper, a scoreboard and a bone folder! I hope you decide to get crafty and link up your creation to this linky party! Don't forget there are prizes to be won!! It could be YOU!

Personal Challenge Week 7

For the Just A Scrappin' St. Patrick's day challenge Click Here

Hello My friends!
This is my card for week 7 of my personal challenge going on with Kellie and it was my turn to create our challenge. I decided that our challenge would be to create a window card using some embossing and ribbon. So here is my card.....

My card base is 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 and I used some vintage cream cardstock by Papertrey Ink for my card base. The bright and fun patterned paper is from a 6x6 paper pad by Fancy Pants called "To the Moon". I just loved this paper. I used a small inset metal die (CCD-007) by Art Gone Wild to make my window. I used my copic markers, B24, YG06 and Y09 to make the fun confetti around the window opening.
The stamp set that I used on the inside of my card is called "Birthday View" which coordinates with the window die. I stamped that in momento tuxedo black ink onto some yellow paper
(also from the 6x6 "To the Moon" paper pad) and then embossed it using my houndstooth embossing folder. I used more of that same yellow paper to make a banner ribbon which I added some Glittered gumdrops by 3 Birds that I purchased on HSN. The sentiment, "make a wish" is from Lawn Fawn's Critter Ever After stamp set which was also stamped using my momento tuxedo black ink. I pleated the banner ribbon and popped it up on foam tape for dimension. To finish off the card, I added some bright orange ribbon that I had in my stash to bring out the color orange in the patterned paper. Overall, I am pleased with how this turned out.

Here is another picture of the card

I am submitting this card in Tara's Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party, come check it out! Also be sure to stop by Kellie's blog to see her wonderful take on our challenge. Stay tuned for this week's challenge, "Use stencils and stamps". This will be a fun one and I sure hope some of you take the challenge and join us!

Thanks for stopping by!
