10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge 14

Hello my friends =)
I want to share an Easter card that I made for my 5 year old niece. I found a new blog the other day, Pretty Pink Posh and the owner Paulina created a very cool challenge called 10 minute craft dash. The challenges are themed(mainly by color)and you only have 10 minutes from start to finish to complete your card or project. I think this is awesome and to be honest, it is definitely a challenge!

So I decided to participate in Challenge #14. The colors are pink/tan/green. This card took me 9 minutes and 34 seconds to complete, here is my card.

pretty pink posh, easter, bunnies, verve stamps

I used some kraft cardstock for my card base and my card is four in a quarter by five in a half. For my first layer, I used a piece of mint green and white speckles patterned paper from Creative Memories and then I took a lace doily and adhered only half on top of the PP and then cut off the rest. The bunny and the flower were stamped onto white cardstock in momento rich cocoa ink and then fussy cut out. The bunny and flower were colored in using copics  R81, R83, RV95, YG05, YG06 and YG67. They are from the stamp set Hoppy Easter by Verve.

The sentiment "Easter Wishes" was stamped in new leaf ink by Papertrey Ink and then cut out using my 1 1/2" circle punch. The sentiment is from Studio G. To finish off the card I added some pink and white polka dot ribbon that I had in my stash and I added a green gumdrop to the flower center. Here is a peek at the inside of the card that has the sentiment "some bunny loves you" by Cardz TV's "Easter Punnies" stamp set and is also stamped in the new leaf ink.

Well thats my card for today! I sure hope you stop by the Pretty Pink Posh Blog and have a look around and I challenge you to take the 10 minute craft dash! I am also linking this card up to Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. awesome job for a 10 minute card! Wish I could figure out how to make a card in 10 minutes! Not sure mine would look as good! I like that you used a doily on the card and fussy cut the bunny. Also like the ribbon with the flower and gumdrop. Very cute card!

  6. I'm so thrilled you heard about my challenge! You did a fabulous job on this color palette, especially since it was your first time! It didn't really occur to me that these colors could be used for Easter- it worked out perfectly to do it this week!

Thank you for joining along in the 10 Minute Craft Dash, Jo. I hope to see you for the next challenge!
