Hello my friends!
Whew is it hot! I am originally from the East Coast and so these temps of 105+ are just not something I am used to! I used to hear that it got hot in Texas but I did not realize it was this hot!
I hope that wherever you are, you are staying cool~
Okay so onto today's Talk Time Tuesday with Ask Jo......
Our first question comes from Amy S. who asks, "How do you keep track of all of the challenges that you enter your projects into each week?
Hi Amy!
Great question!
Since I started entering challenges over a year ago, I kind of have a few favorites that I play in every week so I know what days they start/end and I have their websites bookmarked and memorized. As for all the other challenges that I enter that are fairly new to me, I simply go to Paper Playful and this is where I am able to find challenges by the day. I LOVE this site! The ladies who put this together are genius and I applaud them as I know it takes a lot of hard work to keep up with it. You can find challenges by the day here as well as a list of all the winners who win those challenges. Awesome huh? You can say thank you now.... hehehe... Enjoy! I hope to see you in some of the challenges and starting today, our Funday Friday challenges and winners will be announced on there as well!
Thanks for your question Amy! I hope to hear from you again soon!
Our second question today comes from Brenda L.who asks, "Jo how do you know what machine you want to use for what projects? Like the Cricut or the Pazzle? Does your idea pre-determine that?"
Hi there Brenda!
It is so good to hear from you again. To answer your question Brenda, the type of project I am working on will determine which machine I will go to. Normally if I am making cards or tags, I will go to my cricut. The cricut is pretty fast and easy. All I need to do is just pop in the cartridge I need and select my image. Now If I am working on something very elegant, intricate or doing mass production of something, I'll turn to my pazzles for that. When I am doing layouts, word books, mini albums and special orders, I use my Pazzles machine. My pazzles machine requires my computer and I like to design a lot of my own files as well so when I am working on an order for someone, I try to spend as much time making sure that their project gets special love and detail that the cricut cannot produce. Now mind you, not all of my cards use the cricut. I do use the Pazzles on some cards too but I guess it just depends on simplicity or intricate detail that separates the two machines apart and that determines how I choose which machine to use. =0)
I hope that wherever you are, you are staying cool~
