Ask Jo! It's Talk time Tuesday!

Hello my sweet friends!
Welcome back to another Talk time Tuesday! This past weekend was a busy one for me. I ended up doing some more organizing in my craft room and I was a bit under the weather still so I had to deal with a few health issues. Then yesterday I had to go to the hospital to have my yearly mammogram and ultrasound done as well as a few xrays of my hips/groin area. Hoping for some good results.

Okay so onto today's question..it comes from Tess S. who wants to know, " Do you stamp with wood mounted stamps or clear and which do you prefer to use best? How do you store your stamps?"

  Hello Tess!
Thanks for asking that question. I stamp with both wood mounted stamps and clear acrylic stamps. I prefer clear stamps though because I can see where I am stamping and that helps with alignment and positioning. I have had several people ask me about stamp storage and while I always look for new ways to store them and make them work for me, right now I have my clear stamps stored in clear DVD cases and sleeves (if they have matching dies) and I store my wood mounted stamps in these Sterilite drawer towers.
I have 2 of these drawer towers and in the two smaller shelves at the top, I store smaller stamp sets and background stamps. Each of my drawers are labeled into categories and the stamps are placed in the drawers of the category they fit in. My categories are: Birthday/Celebration, Love/wedding, Winter/Christmas, Fall/Halloween, Summer/Water fun, Easter/Spring, Misc./Alphabets, School/pets.  .. hopefully I did not forget any categories but basically whatever theme my stamps fall into, is the drawer they go into. I do however, have a drawer cabinet that I have stamps/dies in by company for the companies that I have A LOT of stamps from. One company in particular that I have a large supply in product is Lawn Fawn  and so they are in a different drawer dedicated to just Lawn Fawn. I hope this answers your questions Tess and I appreciate you writing in today!!
Well friends, that is it for today. Please write in with questions you want answered or topics you would like to see talked about during our Tuesdays together :)

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.... Enjoy life's blessings~

  1. I prefer clear stamps, too for the same reason...to see where I'm stamping :) Have a great day my friend :)

    1. Do not know why I get a yahoo DMAC Domain error when I comment on certain blogs so trying the Reply part to see if this shows up. I prefer clear stamps but also use cling stamps that are not clear as well as wood mounted stamps. I store my stamps in Rubbermaid containers by brand & subject.

  2. Great question and answers. I prefer stamps I can put onto acrylic blocks for placement. I find some of my favourite stamps are red rubber and they to me tend to give a better crisper image.

  4. I love clear stamps to! like to see the image when stamping :) I do store some if mine in DVD cases as well. Mostly PK stamps. My larger collection of stamp companies are in 12 x 12 clear storage containers and labeled. ofta, I have a lot and I am doing a great job this month of cleaning out the ones I no longer use....just too much in my room!
Have a great evening my friend!
