August New Release with Little Blue Button!

This is my 2nd Post today!

Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to another Fun Friday! I hope you had a wonderful week and hopefully ready to get a jump start on gathering fun ideas and inspiration for all your crafty projects this weekend! With that being said, let's get right to it!!!
New August Release
For my card today, I had the absolute pleasure of coloring up this awesome digital stamp, Compass! This is just one of the new stamps from August's new release. I really loved having the opportunity to work with this stamp because it is definitely not something I would have chosen to work with. It has definitely made me come out of my comfort zone a bit. So looking at this compass, I had two things in mind, create an art journal page with it or a masculine card. So due to time not being on my side this week, an art journal page was out. So a masculine card it is!!! So here is my card.......

I printed my image out on some Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored it using my Zig clean color real brush markers. Once the image was completely colored and dried, I took my white gel pen by Marvy and added some detailing. I added white dots, stripes and lines. I like that the image kinda pops with the white. I also took some silver texture gem from Faber Castell and drew the letters on the compass, "N", "E", "S", "W". It gave the letters a raised texture and once that dried, I took my black gel pen and wrote the letters again, then took the white gel pen and added dots to that. My initial thought was to make this look very masculine. So the colors I went with are, silver, gray, green, blue, black and white. Then I took a bit of vintage photo distress ink and added it around the image. I actually liked how it turned out and I do think it looks masculine enough. :)

So I cut down the image to a 3 by 3 square and adhered it to a piece of 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 piece of garden green cardstock from Stampin' Up. The image then got adhered to a piece of watercolored cardstock that I created. I used my Kuretake Gamsai Tambi watercolors to create the panel and finishing it by adding some splatters. I took that layer and adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock by Stampin' Up and then adhered that down to my cardbase. The sentiment is from my stash and that was stamped onto some GP cardstock and then adhered to the Night of Navy cardstock. Each were cut out using Lawn Fawn's stitched rectangles dies. To finish off my card, I added some black skittles that my friend Carri sells in her online store!. Well I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
