Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to a new challenge at Dies R US! Our last challenge, we focused on layers and building up our projects. Well now for this new mid-month challenge, we want our focus to be on the actual sentiment. There are so many awesome sentiment dies on the market that are trending right now and today, my DT sisters and I will show you some amazing dies that will help you to create some really beautiful cards in just a few minutes!
So here are the cards that I created for today's challenge. Yep, I made two cards!
So here are the cards that I created for today's challenge. Yep, I made two cards!
I decided to create two cards in the same style but just switched out the sentiment and accent color. I knew I wanted to go with a black and white look. All of my cardstock is from Stampin Up. So for this first card, I created an A2 sized card base from some Flirty Flamingo and using that same color, I die cut the sentiment using the Sue Wilson Design-Expressions Collections- Best Wishes Die. I took my clear spectrum sparkle brush pen and went around the entire sentiment except the actual letters to give some sparkle. I wanted the actual sentiment letters to stand alone and just have that classy look to them. The white layer was ran through my Pirouette embossing folder by Anna Griffin, along the one edge. Then I used the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies and used the 2nd largest to cut it out. The black layer was also ran through the Pirouette embossing folder. I took the clear spectrum sparkle pen and went all around the edges to give it a lot of sparkle. I knew the white piece would hide the rest, so the edges were the only parts that I added sparkle to. I then added the white layer to the black and adhered it to the card base. Sequins in the same shade of color were added to finish it off.
For the second card, I switched the accent color to this beautiful old Bermuda Bay. Such a beautiful color! I also switched out the sentiment which was die cut using the Tutti Designs- Swirly Thanks Die. This card was completely done the exact same way as the first, using the same Pirouette embossing folder, clear sparkle pen for sparkle and sequins in a shade of the same color to complete it. I wish you could really see just how sparkly these cards are in real life, so sparkly! It is just had to get it on camera. Here are a few more photos.
And that completes my cards! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE.
