Challenge #84 with Dies R Us!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our newest challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is to create anything Fall themed. You could use fall colors, fall activities or fall favorites! So anything you want to create, any style... just show us your fall projects!

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

Sorry for the poor lighting.
It was very hard to get a good shot.

So is this not the cutest little snow globe???!!!! I absolutely love how this card turned out! I used the Sue Wilson Designs- Festive Collection- Snow Globe Dies for my card base. I just cut the base out twice and scored one of them to create the closure. I took my distress oxide inks in peeled paint, fossilized amber & spiced marmalade and covered the top layer of the globe to bring in those rich fall colors. On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the leaves, pumpkin, scarecrow, cornstalks and crow in black momento ink. I got these images by pulling the Lawn Fawn- Happy Harvest Stamps out. I colored in my images using my zig clean color real markers in fall tones, except for the leaves and then cut them out using the Lawn Fawn- Happy Harvest Dies. For the leaves, I inked up the same three color distress inks and added in fired brick and then I cut them out last.

Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and inked up some walnut stain and vintage photo distress oxide inks and blended them together well. Then I took the Precious Marieke-Milk Churn & Barrel Dies and cut them out of it. I knew I wanted the pumpkin from the stamp set to sit on top of that barrel. I then took some more of the fossilized amber and spiced marmalade inks and blended them well on some white cardstock and then took the Sue Wilson Designes-Configurations-Trellis Edger Die and cut that out. Once all my images and pieces were colored and cut out, I spritzed some water on them and then blotted them to dry. Now it was time to assemble! I wanted the leaves to look like they were falling and being swept up by the wind... and I knew that I wanted the Sue Wilson Designes-Configurations-Trellis Edger Die to go behind the scarecrow. So I placed that down first and then started to build up the leaves and my little scene. The crow and the barrel are popped up on foam tape. I added in some white gel pen hightlights and added some little lined patches & stripes on the hat and overalls. I also added sparkle with the Spectrum Noir Clear sparkle pen to the scarecrow's hat and to the pumpkin. To finish off the card, I added the "warmest wishes" sentiment that I cut out using the Sue Wilson Designs-Festive Collection- Warmest Wishes Die. For some reason the leaves all look the same color and they aren't. They are in beautiful fall colors and I'm upset that for some reason, my camera wouldn't capture the colors and that the lighting was off. I tried for nearly 20 minutes to get lighting. Trust me, this is such a beautiful card in all of the fall colors.

And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE
