Hello my crafty friends! We are almost through this week and I love that because I love my weekends! My weekends allow me to do more crafting and to enter some challenges! Speaking of challenges, today starts a new challenge at Just A Scrappin' and I sure hope you join in!
Our challenge this week is to use some sewing and eyelets. Well here is what I came up with:
I used some kraft cardstock by Papertrey Ink as my card base and it is sized at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. My patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's new paper line Pink Lemonade. I just LOVE this paper line. So fun and full of bright colors. The yellow polka dot strip is from Recollections. My sewing machine is packed away so I took out my stamp set, Sew Simple Borders by Papertrey Ink and inked up the zigzag stitch in momento tuxedo black ink and went across the top and bottom of the card as well as the top and bottom of the yellow polka dot strip. I used my circle punch to cut out some circles to create a unique pattern and doodled some hand stitching around them. The lemon is a sticker that came in the Pink Lemonade collection and the sweet sentiment, "You're Beary Sweet" is from Cardz Tv's Beary Sweet stamp set. To finish off the card, I used 4 yellow star eyelets that I had in my stash and put them in the corners.
