Adorable Halloween Treat Holders, another sneak peek & a giveaway!

Hey there my sweet friends!
I have some more treat holders to share with you today. They are just like the ones I showed you the other day of the sneak peeks, but these are for Halloween! If you missed my original post on these treat holders, you can see it HERE.

Well what do you think? :)

I had such a fun time creating these cute treat holders and I will give them to the kids this year. I always make some sort of treat holders to give to my nieces and nephews and of course my daughter. :)

Everything that I used to make these are from the new 2018 Stampin' Up Holiday catalog. I am keeping this post short and simple so if you want to know more information on how I made these or to see the products that I used, please head over to Studio 33, my Stampin' Up Business Blog. Would love it if you will subscribe and see what I am doing over there! :) I have FREE product up for grabs! You'll have to visit  Studio 33 to find out more about that!

Isn't this one adorable? See the pumpkin's face? Can you believe that I created that face from the bits that were die cut from that spiderweb? Yep! So true :)

And here is a little sneak at what is up on  Studio 33 today.
Come check it out! This showcases our new Dynamics Textured Tin Tile embossing folder. :)

New Challenge with Dies R US!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our new mid-month challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is "white on white". So anything you want to create, any theme, any style... just use a monochromatic/tone on tone color scheme, using of course, White.

So here is the project that I created for today's challenge.

I created a nice little holiday card to wish the recipient a "Happy Christmas" and paired it along with a cute little pillow box for something small, like cash, a gift card, jewelry or some chocolates.
I used all Georgia Pacific cardstock. For the card, I created an A2 side folding card base and scored a few lines on the front for interest. I wanted to keep this a simple one layer card. I used the Sue Wilson Designs-Finishing Touches- Maidenhair Fern Dies and cut them out six times. I covered them up using my Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to give them a bit of a wintry sparkle. I arranged them on the front of the card to create a winter wreath. Then I cut out a cute banner from a MCT die and stamped the "Happy Christmas" sentiment inside. I popped this banner up and added to the middle of the wreath and to finish off the card and give it a little extra something, I added in a little bit of stickles for "Berries". Love how beautiful the wreath turned out, just from using ferns!!! Just another way to look at your dies and think of ways to use them outside of their intended purpose!

For the gift- I cut out this adorable pillow box using the pillow box die from Lawn Fawn. I ran the box through an Anna Griffin "poinsettia & holly" embossing folder before assembling the box. I then took my clear sparkle pen again and highlighted over the "raised" areas to give the box that same wintry sparkle. Next, I cut out the word "JOY" from using the Lawn Fawn- Scripty Joy Die. I ran the word through my "swiss dots" embossing folder to give the letters a bit of interest and added a bit of clear sparkle to it as well. I knew I wanted this word to stand out and not blend completely into the box, so I took the Sue Wilson Designs-California Collection-Tag Die  and cut out the beautiful tag. I added the word "joy" to the center of this tag and popped it up onto the box. I used that same stickles from the card to just add a dot in each corner for that little extra something. I really love how this all turned out. It all came together beautifully and I will be putting some jewelry inside the box and giving it to my beautiful daughter, along with the card. I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you, a very Happy Holiday and a Happy & Healthy new year ahead!

And that completes my card and pillow box! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE.

Dies R Us Challenge 82 " Life Events"

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to our new October challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today is Life events. So what do you celebrate in life? A Birthday? A new Job? Retirement? Anniversary? New baby or Christening? So let's see your life events projects!!

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

I decided to go with "birthday" as my life event. I have several fall birthdays coming up and one specifically for a younger special lady in my life. My card today is a shaker, how fun! I used the  Sue Wilson Designs-Shadow Boxes- Birthday dies to create the window opening panel for my shaker. I first took some of my distress oxide inks to create the panel, splattered with a little bit of water and then cut it out with the large die. I went ahead and added in my sequins, added my foam adhesive and then added a white backing panel that was cut out using the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies.
I added that panel to a larger black panel, also cut out using the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies.

I used distress oxides on another panel to create a very light, almost muted color for a soft look. I then took the heart and star balloons and strings from Lawn Fawn's Lawn Fawn-Party Balloon Dies and popped them up on foam tape. I thought they made a perfect accent to the front of this card panel.

The sentiment and the little lavender gift were also cut out from the Sue Wilson Designs-Shadow Boxes- Birthday dies. To finish off this card, I added the entire panel to a white card base, added some sparkle to the balloons and present using wink of stella and added in a little gold banner to compliment the gold sequins. You can never have too much gold ever! :)

And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE.

Well that is all I have for you today my friends. I appreciate you for taking time out of your day to visit me and see what I am up to. Dies R Us challenge #77! Use your sentiment as the main Focus!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to a new challenge at Dies R US! Our last challenge, we focused on layers and building up our projects. Well now for this new mid-month challenge, we want our focus to be on the actual sentiment. There are so many awesome sentiment dies on the market that are trending right now and today, my DT sisters and I will show you some amazing dies that will help you to create some really beautiful cards in just a few minutes!

So here are the cards that I created for today's challenge. Yep, I made two cards!

I decided to create two cards in the same style but just switched out the sentiment and accent color. I knew I wanted to go with a black and white look. All of my cardstock is from Stampin Up. So for this first card, I created an A2 sized card base from some Flirty Flamingo and using that same color, I die cut the sentiment using the Sue Wilson Design-Expressions Collections- Best Wishes Die. I took my clear spectrum sparkle brush pen and went around the entire sentiment except the actual letters to give some sparkle. I wanted the actual sentiment letters to stand alone and just have that classy look to them. The white layer was ran through my Pirouette embossing folder by Anna Griffin, along the one edge. Then I used the Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies and used the 2nd largest to cut it out. The black layer was also ran through the Pirouette embossing folder. I took the clear spectrum sparkle pen and went all around the edges to give it a lot of sparkle. I knew the white piece would hide the rest, so the edges were the only parts that I added sparkle to. I then added the white layer to the black and adhered it to the card base. Sequins in the same shade of color were added to finish it off.

For the second card, I switched the accent color to this beautiful old Bermuda Bay. Such a beautiful color! I also switched out the sentiment which was die cut using the Tutti Designs- Swirly Thanks Die. This card was completely done the exact same way as the first, using the same Pirouette embossing folder, clear sparkle pen for sparkle and sequins in a shade of the same color to complete it. I wish you could really see just how sparkly these cards are in real life, so sparkly! It is just had to get it on camera.  Here are a few more photos.

And that completes my cards! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE.

Challenge #74 "Masculine" with Dies R Us!

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to a new challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge theme this time around is "Masculine"! We want to see your projects fit for that perfect little boy or man in your life!

So here are the cards that I created for today's challenge.

I decided to create some shaker cards for Father's day. I haven't made a shaker card in awhile and I wanted something that would be fun and that would stand out this year. So I started with an A2 style white card base made with some GP cardstock. All the patterned paper that I used is from the "Guy Stack" from DCVW paper stack. Both cards are identical with the exception of the recipient and paper colors. I cut out the main layers using Lawn Fawn- Stitched Rectangle Frame Dies. I chose a nice pattern paper for this because I knew my next layer would be a nice solid. And speaking of next layers, this next layer was cut using Die-Versions- Whispers- Brick Background.  I really love this brick background die! It looks so nice on top of that patterned layer. I adhered the brick layer to the main layer and they both were adhered to the card base.

Next I took some of the same pattern paper and cut out some polaroid frames using an Amy T die and I cut this out twice for each card. I also cut out some acetate for the windows. I decided that I wanted my shaker portion to be the inside of the frame where the photo normally would go. The square that gets cut out from the polaroid frame is what I used for the backing. I used a red square for both cards and  I also die cut some scalloped squares in white card stock, to go on top of the red squares. These are for the centers of the shaker and I stamped the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment using black archival ink. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I adhered these down together. Next I started to add my foam adhesive all around the frames, put the squares with the sentiment in place, added in my shaker bits and created the shaker. Love it! I used a variation of different sized sequins, sea beads, and logs. I tried to make it very colorful, using lots of primary colors.

To finish off the cards, I added the little hearts that cut out from making the frames to the front of the frames and added in some glossy accents. To one of the frames, I stamped the word "Dad" also from Stampin' Up and to the other, I die cut the word "Brother" using the Die-Versions- Sweet Wordlets- Brother Die. All of the dies that I used in today's project are highlighted in the links above and can be found HERE. Well that's it my friends! I hope you like and will give creating some masculine shaker cards a try! Here are a couple more photos!

A little Spring Tulip Card~

Hi crafty friends!

Today I am up over on the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog to share this very sweet card I made using the beautiful Tulips digital stamp. I absolutely love this digi stamp so much because it can be used in many different ways.

Here is the card I made

I printed this digi stamp onto some white cardstock and colored it using my spectrum noir markers. I also added some clear spectrum sparkle pen to the tulips to give them that gorgeous sparkle. It is hard to see in the photos but they are so very sparkly! I distressed the edges of my layer because I wanted some distressing as this card is rather clean and simple. The sentiment was stamped in black archival ink and the stamp is from a MME stamp set.  I adhered my layer to a standard A2 sized kraft card base and to finish it off, I added in a few pieces of washi tape and some gold hearts. I really love how this turned out. This card is going to a very special friend who is going through some things right now and I just want her to know I am thinking of her. :)
