Hello sweet friends!
How have you all been? Enjoying your weekend so far? How about today is also April Fool's day!!! I hope you are able to fool someone today and have a little bit of fun. :)
Today, I will be sharing a brand new image with you from April's new release. The Little Blue Button Stamps Shop has released some amazing digital stamps for this new release as always and I am super excited to share with you what I created using this adorable digital stamp called, "Fishing Sophie".
Here is my card!
I think this is the cutest image ever! Sophie just wanted to have a lazy summer day to hang out by the water and do a little fishing! I don't know about you, but I enjoy fishing. It is very relaxing and being near the water is so calming. Okay so for my image, I printed it onto some bristol cardstock and colored it in using my copic markers. I added in some more green grass by doing a little flicking and then I also colored in some "dirt". I made sure to add some little white highlights with my gel pen and added in some sparkle with my clear spectrum sparkle pen. Once the image was completely finished, I cut it down to size. I adhered the image on some foam tape to a green piece of cardstock. Then I took a Gina K chain die to die cut my card front. I used my Misti to see where I would be placing my sentiment, and then I made a little tick mark with a pencil. I then took my "thin lines" embossing folder and placed my paper inside right up to the tick mark and then ran it through. So if you look at the top and sides of the layer, you will see the embossed lines. I didn't want the bottom portion of that layer to emboss because I knew I wanted a clean place for my sentiment to go. The sentiment is a Cardz TV Stamps set called, "Fun in the sun".
I adhered everything together and then I adhered it down to the card base, which is a standard A2 size and is made from Neena SW cardstock. Here are a couple more photos! I hope you enjoyed my card and that I can inspire you to get crafty and do some coloring of your own!
Well I hope you enjoyed my lazy summer card showing off this adorable "Fishing Sophie" image! Please remember to head on over to the LBBS Blog to check out the awesome projects that my design team sisters have created for you using April's New Release.
