Hi everyone!! :)
Today starts up a new challenge over at More Mixed Media Challenges! This month's challenge is to use the color "Pink" on your creations. It doesn't have to be all Pink but we would like to see some of that color on your creations.
For my project I decided to go ahead and make a couple of tags. I haven't made any tags in awhile and my time this week was limited. I took some distress inks (picked raspberry, tattered rose, & wild honey) to create my background. Took my Dina Wakley scribble sticks and edged the tags with black. The tag in the background is a bit different from the other. I took some magenta pink, blackberry and turquoise scribble sticks and created some polka dots to the background, then I created loopy borders in magenta pink on the tag closest in front. Both tags were stamped using a Heidi Swapp's Music Notes stamp in black archival ink. This stamp is a 6x6 and is gorgeous!
I also colored in the circle frame medallion around the face in magenta pink and the face in white. I also highlighted the music notes in white to make them stand out more. This was done on both tags. For the background tag, I had added a guitar that I had already cut from a long time ago. I just added some magenta pink to the inside scrolls and also added in some glossy accents. To the top, I added some pink ribbons and added a pink bow to the guitar. For the tag in the front, I added some gold and rose pink glitter flakes and some pink fringe yarn to the top. I also added a cute pink bow using some pink floss string. Added glossy accents to the medallion on this tag as well and added a Tim Holtz ideaology plate to the bottom of the tag that says, "Reality has limits, imagination is boundless". Well that completes my tags! Hope you like!
