Still time to apply for our 2018 DT CALL!

I have had questions and upon answering questions, I have come across a few of you (You know who you are), that are interested in applying but you do not feel that your work is as good as the others on the team! OH that makes me mad every time I hear it!!! Please do NOT compare your work to anyone else's. You are unique! You are set apart from the others. You have so much to offer this design team and what I LOVE the most about having DT Calls, is the amazing & diverse designers that I am blessed to get to interact with and work with. Please people!!! Do NOT stop yourself from applying just because you are hard on yourself. We are all our worst critics!! I ACCEPT EVERYONE! We all have something to bring to the table and to offer the team, no matter if you are a newbie or a veteran. Don't judge yourself please! Creating is supposed to be fun, relaxing and free. If you want to just be.. than apply! ;)
I am going to extend the DT Call for a few more days for those of you who are hesitant .. maybe today will be the day that I get through to you and you take that leap! I sure hope you do! ;)

Hello friends!

Well the time has come once again! I am looking to add at least 4 new designers to the awesome team that I am proud to work with every week. Most of the designers on my team have been with me for 2 & 3 years now and we have formed a little family. There is nothing as precious as the friendships we form in this industry.

Have you been wanting to be on a design team but never try out because you think that your work is not "good" enough? I know that many of you are sitting there answering this question with a "yes, thats me"! I am looking for designers who are not afraid to take a leap and will just dive right on in, feet first! No need to be worried or judgmental on your work. If you want to be on my design team, take the leap and let me see what you have! Now keep in mind, I am simple and very laid back. I welcome ALL levels of crafters to try out and I want you to know that ALL levels of crafters have the same advantage of being chosen. I am not going to single out "friends" or people that are "popular" for my design team. I play fair and here is what I am looking for in you first.....

1. You must have a huge passion for crafting! :)
2. You have to be outgoing, down to earth, sociable, creative, enthusiastic and human! :)
3. You should not be afraid to ask questions :)
4. Lastly, you should always look to have fun :)
5. You do not need any prior DT Experience!

then here is what I want you to do.

Design Team Responsibilities

1. You will need to have an active blog

2. You will need to create 2 projects per month. During special occasions and blog hops, you may be required to do an extra project or two for that month. May is our blogaversary Month. You will be required to create a project and participant for that.

3. You will need to advertise on social media for all upcoming challenges, blog hops and guest design spotlights when asked.

( Social Media platform preferred is Facebook)

4. You will be required to join our private DT Yahoo Group. If you do not have a Yahoo ID, you will be required to create one.

5. The term will be for 6 months and will run from February 9, 2018 to July 6, 2018. At the end of the 6 month term, you will have the opportunity to stay on should you choose to. If you do plan to leave after your six months, I need a heads up at least one month prior to your term's end.

What you will receive in return:

1. You will receive an array of digital stamps and cut files from many different companies in the industry.

2. You will receive more exposure on your blog, which will lead to more followers and friends

3. You will receive an organized Yahoo Group to find all challenge information, links, sponsor information & friendly chat with your DT sisters/brothers.

4. You will receive the opportunity to be entered into all giveaways

5. You will build up an amazing assortment of digital stamps from some of your favorite companies, that you can use over and over again in your own projects

6. You will have opportunities to be in the designer spotlight

7. Lastly, you will build beautiful friendships with a great group of designers that will be working alongside you

How to apply:

DT Call submissions deadline:

January 31, 2018

(11:59pm EST)

1. Please create 1 new project specifically for this DT Call and make sure to post about it on your blog, and link back to this blog.

2. Your project should be a reflection of who you are and what your style is. That is what I am looking for, personality and style. If you are great at creating shabby chic, then submit shabby chic and so on. Show me what makes YOU stand out. What is your passion????

Your project can be:

A. a card (shaker, step, gatefold, gift card)

B. a scrapbook layout or project life spread

C. a mixed media project (canvas, art journal, 3D)

D. an altered piece of art or home decor item

3. Along with your submission, please include:

A. Your full name

B. your email address

C. Your blog address

D. Your favorite type of craft to make

E. A photo of yourself

F. A short bio about yourself and why you want to be on this team

Once I choose the DT members, I will notify you by email so please make sure that you give me a current email address in your submission.

I will announce the 2018 (1st half) Design Team on February 2nd.

The new DT girls/guys will start their term on February 9th, 2018.
