 Here is what I created for this challenge:

When I think of fall or Autumn, I think of acorns, different color leaves and the festivities that come along that time of the year like Halloween, visits to the farm for pumpkin picking, Thanksgiving, Black Friday Sales and baking. I was excited that this week's challenge theme was Autumn.

 

 I automatically thought of Thanksgiving and so I created this Thanksgiving card. My card is a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 card standing upright. The cardstock used was Recollections and the patterned paper is from the Harvest Stack from Me & My Big Ideas. I kept this card simple. The peacock die cut and the sentiment label die cut are from S.E.I. I colored the peacock in with prisma colored pencils to bring out the autumn colors of the season. I love how this turned out!

 

My sentiment was combined by using two different stamp sets from Cardz TV Stamps. I used the stamp set "Happy Days" for the sentiment, "Happy Thanksgiving" and I used the set, "Encouraging Thoughts" for the "Blessings". I stamped the sentiments in "Vineyard Berry" ink from CTMH. To finish the card off I wrapped some twine around the card and tied it off in a knot. I hope you like!

We have now changed the challenge rules to 3 entries per person per challenge except for the Anything Goes challenges which will be unlimited.

 

 Here is what I created this week for the challenge

I decided to use my cricut expression to make my card. I loaded up my artiste cartridge and cut this card at 6" from some deep plum CS from Recollections. I cut out the stars from the same cartridge on teal and light blue papers also from Recollections, at 3/4", 1",  1 3/4" and 2". I then cut out the teal and light blue shape from the elegant edges cartridge at 2 1/2" and 3".

 

I ran the card base through my ebosser using the "Smitten" folder by Anna Griffin. I layered all my stars together and layered my main shapes together. I used the Kudos Stamp Set from CTMH to stamp the star that says "super" and the sentiments, "You're the best" and "Congrats". This stamp set comes with the Artiste bundle and made stamping it onto my cut out star a snap! I stamped these images in versafine and used my Ranger's white embossing powder and heat embossed each one. I then stamped my sentiment, "Follow your dreams" from Cardz TV Stamp's set called "More Encouraging Thoughts" in soft lilac by Hero Arts. I ran this sentiment piece through my ebosser using my swiss dots embossing folder to give it some texture. To finish off my card I added some purple sequins and used my white sakura pen to add some white dots.

Your Next Stamp & a Giveaway!!

Wow can you believe it is August already??? I have been anxiously awaiting for this month to get here because I have some exciting news to share! Ready??? Oh I am so thrilled to let ya'll know that I am guest designing with Your Next Stamp this month! When Karen asked me to be guest designer way back in March, I almost fell off my chair with joy! It has really been hard to not say anything!

Our first challenge this month is to create a card or project that uses the colors: Orange, Yellow and light and dark shades of Pink. So I grabbed this adorable Fairy Fhiona stamp from YNS and this is what I came up with:

My card today is a 4x4. Papers used are Bazzill and My Mind's Eye. I colored sweet Fhiona using my copics E00, E000, YR01, YR14, YR 09, Y06, Y08 and C5. Fhiona is up on foam tape and the layer she is on is also up on foam tape. I used my EK success punch to frame out the sentiment "Hugs" from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps called Encouraging Thoughts. The sentiment originally said "Big Hugs" but I only inked up the "hugs" part. I added a few strips of washi tape and used my MS border punch to give a little decorative edge to the card. I added some gold glitter to her wings and finished off the card by adding a butterfly from SEI, flower and brads from Prima.

Hi Blog Friends! Today I want to share a card I made for the first Your Next Stamp Challenge being held at Split Coast Stampers. The theme was to use Pink, Green and Orange so here is what I came

up with...

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #244 for my card

The papers used for this card are Bazzill and My Mind's Eye. The sentiment, cupcake and heart stamps are from the Avocado Arts stamp set called Sweet Treat Sweetie

I colored the cupcake and heart using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I added some glossy accents to give it a little bit of a shine. To finish off my card I inked up all my paper edges using some Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink and added a strip of American Crafts glitter tape across the top, also adding some prima flowers and a pearl.
