Easter~ Challenge #70 with Dies R Us

Hello sweet friends!
Welcome to a new challenge at Dies R US! Our challenge today circles all around Easter! We want to see all your Easter projects~ Bring out the bunnies, the beautiful Easter baskets, the gorgeous Easter lillies and the beautiful crosses. The design team and I, have some awesome projects to inspire you and help you create your Easter projects. Oh and since today is the first day of April, Happy Fool's day too! :)

So here is the card that I created for today's challenge.

I have been creating quite a few Easter cards this year so I am happy to be able to have a nice stash that I can send out to those special people in my life. Today's card was completely inspired by the Sue Wilson- Italian Collection-Tuscany Dies. I used the largest die as my card base which was cut out on some Neena solar white cardstock. I cut out the floral circle die out of some spring papers from My Besties Designs and adhered that to a burlap doily.  The center circle die was cut out using more Neena cardstock and I stamped the sentiment in the center which is from a Cardz TV Stamp set, "Happy Days".

I also die cut out the largest Lawn Fawn- Large Dotted Circle Stackables Dies to be a layer to the floral circle die that I had cut out. I took a piece of white lace and added it behind the floral circle layer and took another two pieces of lace trim and added it to the top and bottom of the same layer. It is hard to see the layers because I have a lot going on with my card but it is there! Next, I added some gorgeous pearls around the outside circle layer and to the inside circle where the sentiment is stamped. I love the look of pearls and lace together! The adorable bunny was die cut using the Impression Obsession- Chocolate Bunny Die. I used the same spring papers and I added a little bit of gesso to create the bunny's stomach area and white tail. I also added a little eye using a copic mulit-liner pen.

The butterfly above the sentiment was a wood chippy from SnipArt that I had painted with gesso and then heat embossed with some lavender glitter EP. The "With Love' is also another wood chippy that I gesso'd and heat embossed with vintage ivory EP.  These were adhered using my hot glue gun. The bunny was finally adhered using some foam adhesive and I added some sparkle using my spectrum clear sparkle pen. I took some beautiful cream seam binding ribbon and adhered it to my layer and then adhered this layer down to the card base. I tied the ribbon into a bow and finished it off with a beautiful pink rose. To finish the card off, I took various roses and created a nice cluster all around the front and added some sparkle to them too.  And that completes my card! All of the dies that I used are highlighted in the links above and can be found in the Dies R Us store HERE

Well that is all I have for you today my friends. I appreciate you for taking time out of your day to visit me and see what I am up to. Tulips for Easter

Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello sweet friends!
Today it is my turn to be up on the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog to showcase a wonderful Easter project. You have to go and stop by and check it out because all month long, the designers have been bringing the inspiration!

I decided to keep my Easter card very clean and simple. I wanted the focus to be on the image and for this card, I used the beautiful Tulips digital stamp. Tulips are my favorite flower and I just knew these would look beautiful on a card for Easter.

I printed the image out onto some Bristol smooth cardstock and colored the image in with my copic markers. I like working with the copics with the Bristol paper as well. For some reason the alcohol pens blend so much more smoothly. Once the image was colored, I added some white pen doodles and then cut it out using the scalloped edged border dies from My Favorite Things. The Easter word die is from Simon Says Stamp and was cut out of some Carta Bella Paper. I added in a few sequins in the upper right corner to bring this card together and added some glitter to the tulips using my spectrum noir clear sparkle pen. And as you can see from the photo, I went out of the lines a bit when coloring! That is what happens when you are in a  lot of pain and trying to keep as still as can be! But it is the beauty of a handmade card, right? Hope you like!

Please make sure to stop by the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog to see more gorgeous Easter projects! You will surely be inspired to make some of your own!! If you want to purchase the Tulips digital stamp or any other stamp you may have been eyeing up, just go visit the LBBS Store.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great day!!!

Until next time,
Enjoy life's blessings~

10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge 14

Hello my friends =)
I want to share an Easter card that I made for my 5 year old niece. I found a new blog the other day, Pretty Pink Posh and the owner Paulina created a very cool challenge called 10 minute craft dash. The challenges are themed(mainly by color)and you only have 10 minutes from start to finish to complete your card or project. I think this is awesome and to be honest, it is definitely a challenge!

So I decided to participate in Challenge #14. The colors are pink/tan/green. This card took me 9 minutes and 34 seconds to complete, here is my card.

pretty pink posh, easter, bunnies, verve stamps

I used some kraft cardstock for my card base and my card is four in a quarter by five in a half. For my first layer, I used a piece of mint green and white speckles patterned paper from Creative Memories and then I took a lace doily and adhered only half on top of the PP and then cut off the rest. The bunny and the flower were stamped onto white cardstock in momento rich cocoa ink and then fussy cut out. The bunny and flower were colored in using copics  R81, R83, RV95, YG05, YG06 and YG67. They are from the stamp set Hoppy Easter by Verve.

The sentiment "Easter Wishes" was stamped in new leaf ink by Papertrey Ink and then cut out using my 1 1/2" circle punch. The sentiment is from Studio G. To finish off the card I added some pink and white polka dot ribbon that I had in my stash and I added a green gumdrop to the flower center. Here is a peek at the inside of the card that has the sentiment "some bunny loves you" by Cardz TV's "Easter Punnies" stamp set and is also stamped in the new leaf ink.

Well thats my card for today! I sure hope you stop by the Pretty Pink Posh Blog and have a look around and I challenge you to take the 10 minute craft dash! I am also linking this card up to Craftin Desert Diva's Linky Party. Thanks for stopping by!

Personal Challenge Week 9

Cardz TV Good Times Blog Hop Stamp Release Day One
Cardz TV Good Times Blog Hop Day Two

This is my 2nd post today so if you are looking for the Cardz TV Blog Hop, please click the links at the top of this page.

Hello my friends!
I sure hope you're all having a great weekend. I am having a nice busy weekend so far and so much fun crafting away in my craft room. I was able to get a lot of things accomplished and I'm feeling good about it! I'm sure you can all relate to how good it feels when we tackle that forever long "to-do" list! LOL

Okay so Kellie and I are on week 9 of our personal challenge and this week I challenged us to create a Spring themed card using a die cut. So here is what I came up with:

My card is a standard A2 size and the cardstock I used is Bazzill. I layered a black mat onto my white card base and on top of that, I layered a piece of Recollections lavender patterned paper. I'll start with my cute adorable image, Mikayla Ann. She is a digi stamp from the Cutting Cafe. I printed her out and colored her in using copics E00, E02 and E51 for her skin. I used Y12, Y18 and Y19 for her hair and colored in one of the easter eggs in the grass using Y18. Her dress  and socks were colored in using BV08, BV11 and BV13 while her shoes were colored in using C5 and C8. I then decided to color the easter egg she was holding in R81 and R83. I used G07 and G09 to color in the grass and her eyes. Then I used R24 to color the bow around the egg she's holding and also on the small cracked open egg in the grass. To give the image some sparkle, I added some rock candy stickles to the eggs and bows.
The cute little bunnies came from the new stamp set Happy Easter by Lawn Fawn. I colored them in using copics BV23, C5, RV02(ears) and I added some B000 around the inside of the tails. Then that cute little bee... aaahh... well that bee is also from Lawn Fawn and comes from the stamp set, Gnome Sweet Gnome. I colored the bee in using Y18, B000(wings) and 100. I also stamped the bee trail from that same stamp set. After I colored and cut out the stamps, I put them on foam adhesive and then decided to build a Springy/Easter scene. I used my momento summer skies ink and a cloud template to create the look of the sky and clouds on a beautiful spring day. Once I got the look I was going for, I took the "sky" paper and cut it out using my Spellbinder's Labels Ten Dies. I also cut out some beautiful glittery purple fabric out of the same die to build my main layers. I used some faux stitching in black, around the inside of the "sky" layer to give some added texture. I then adhered all my stamped pieces up on foam tape to the main layer. To finish off the card front, I cut out a journal tag from the Papertrey Ink's Journal Tabs Dies and inked around it using tea dye distress ink and then stamped the sentiment "Do the bunny Hop, hop, hop hop!" in momento tuxedo black ink. The sentiment stamp is from Cardz TV's Easter Punnies stamp set. It still needed a little something so I added some purple Royal Jewels from the Royal Castle Shoppe. Below is a peek at the inside which uses the sentiment, "Have an Eggs-tra special Easter!" also from the Cardz TV Stamp set "Easter Punnies" and uses another egg that I had cut out, colored and popped up.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

LawnScaping Challenge 54
Paper Playtime's "Use a Bee" Ch 6
LMM Happy Easter Challenge
Craftin Desert Divas Linky Party

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and I sure hope you stop by Kellie's Blog to see what she created for our week 9's personal challenge!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!
