This week's Sketch

Here is what I created this week for the challenge:

My card today is an A2 sized card. I used some royal blue CS from Colorbok for my card base. All the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye's "On the Bright Side" paper line.  For my main layer, I used my "stub" corner chomper on each corner and inked all my edges using some tea dye distress ink. I used my scallop punch from Martha Stewart for the edge along the middle strip and adhered that to some of the patterned paper. My sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is from PTI's Handwritten Notes stamp set. This set has been a favorite of mine for years. My cute cake is a digital image from Bugaboo! I colored it in using my copics R02, R29, Yr02, Y15, Y18, Y21, B32, B41 and 100. I also used my colorless blender to add some dots to my icing for some texture. My cake image is popped up on some foam tape for dimension. The stars were punched out using my old Creative Memories star punch in the 1/4" and 1/2" sizes and are also popped up for dimension. To finish the outside of the card, I added a few enamel dots to the corner. I felt like it needed a little something extra. My card's inside sentiment, "Everyone knows Birthday calories don't count" is from Stampendous.
Well that is my card and I sure hope you liked it! I really liked how this turned out.

Safari Animals & Some Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons!

For my 200 follower giveaway, please Click here

Hello my friends.
Happy Friday!!! As you all know, I love the weekends. I look forward to them because that is the time I get to relax the most, craft away and spend quality time with family. But now that the weekend is here, I just wanted to update you all on a few things. Starting next week, I will be starting the "Ask Jo" feature. So please start filling out the form and getting your questions into me. I am very anxious about this and I know many of you are too. This is also a good way for you to let me know what you would like to see more of. I will also be bringing in the Funday Friday challenges. So I hope you are all ready to play along and have some fun!

Now on to some really exciting news!!
Lisa, the owner of the fairly new online store, Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons has asked me to be a Guest Designer and so today that is who I am guest designing for.  Lisa has the CUTEST cut files, digital stamps and paper and if you have not been to her site, you need to go NOW! You will not be sorry and her prices are very reasonable. She also gives way a lot of Friday Freebies! Who doesn't like free stuff right? So go check her out! Now onto my first project.

I used Lisa's cut file Side Step Card and her cut file Safari Love to use the giraffe. I just love this giraffe! So stinkin cute! I cut my card base out of some brown bazzill cardstock and I used two patterned papers(tans/browns) from Colorbok for my front panel and steps. I cut all the cutting pieces from my pazzles inspiration machine. The giraffe was cut out at 3 and 3/4", and the tag was cut out at 1 3/4"(inside frame) and 2" (outside frame). On this particular tag cut, it says "Wild about you" but I only cut the word "Wild". I cut it out on vellum and then used some glitter to sparkle it all up. I duplicated the hearts from the cut file to add more to the card. I stamped out the words, "For You" using Lawn Fawn's Claire's ABC's stamp set.I did this to not leave my first step bare.

Here is a closer look at the giraffe. I just love him hehe. I added some dew drops to his body and gave him a googly eye. He is also popped up on some foam tape. Below is another picture of the side of the card.

For my second project, I created this adorable zebra card. The zebra also comes from the Safari Love cut file set. He was cut out at 3 1/2" using some bazzill black and white cardstock. Don't you just love that rose in his mouth? How cute is that? I gave him some googly eyes as well and he is on an action wobble and mounted on a standard A2 sized card. I inked all around him using some tea dye distress ink to make him stand out more from the card.

I have two layers on the cardbase. My first layer is black cut at 4 3/8" by 5 1/4" and my second layer is the white layer which was cut at 4" X 4 3/4". I ran the white layer through my ebosser and embossed it using the "Plaid" embossing folder by Anna Griffin. My sentiment "SWAK" is from the brand new stamp set "Snail Mail" by Cardz TV Stamps. My sentiment is mounted on foam tape and I added a few black liquid pearls to accent it. Below are more pictures of the inside which uses another sentiment from the "Snail Mail" set, "Just a note" and shows this adorable zebra wobbling away!

Well thats my cards for today! I am extremely excited to have been able to be a  Guest designer for Lisa and I highly recommend that you go visit her wonderful store Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. She has so many cute files. So what are ya waiting for? Go look!!! LOL
Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!

Now onto my card today... I am participating in the awesome and very challenging
The wonderful Paulina from Pretty Pink Posh has created this crazy but "oh so much fun" challenge and week #17's challenge is to use the colors, kraft/aqua/coral. Here is what I came up with:

I used kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink as my card base. My first layer is the pretty aqua cardstock and my front layer is a coral piece of cardstock, both from Colorbok. I took my front layer and embossed it using the "Happy Birthday" embossing folder by Darice. I took my sponge and rubbed some tea dye distress ink over the embossed area to bring it out more. I added two aqua brads from Stampin Up, some sequins and finished it off with some Martha Stewart ribbon and some coral buttons that I had in my stash.
This card took me 8 MINS, 23 SECS.

Well that is my card for today.
I would also like to enter this card in the following challenge:
Ribbon Carousel's Celebrations Challenge!!!
The Ribbon Carousel is giving away one of these awesome ribbon carousels every month to one of the challenge participants! How cool is that?

Sweet Thoughts of You~

For my 200th Follower Giveaway, please Click Here
For my 1 year blogaversary giveaway and blog hop, please Click here

Hello My crafty friends!!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. This weekend has gone by so fast! I have to say thank you to everyone who decided to join my 1st blogaversary blog hop yesterday. We had so much fun! If you didn't get a chance to do the hop and would like to, Click Here. I have a huge giveaway that you do not want to miss out on!

Today I want to share a card with you that I did this weekend. I used a digi from Whimsy Stamps called LuLu. Is she not the cutest thing?? I colored her in using my copics and cut her out using one of my spellbinders scalloped circle dies. I inked the edges of the die with tea dye distress ink and added some stickles to the flower and her eyes for some sparkle.

I used cardstock by Papertrey Ink and Bazzill. I embossed both pieces of cardstock using my cuttlebug little flowers embossing folder and ran them through my ebosser. On the black front layer, I rubbed some white ink over the embossed flowers to make it look like a chalkboard effect.
The sentiment that I used, "Sweet thoughts of you" came with this digital beauty. I just love this set! The sentiment was printed out and inked up with tea dye distress ink and was  adhered on some patterned paper that I had left over from another project, the paper is from Colorbok.

To finish the card off, I added some "Navy" liquid pearls to the embossed flowers and to the inside frame around LuLu to add some cute bling. I like this color because it brings out her jeans. =)
I then added a navy blue button from October Afternoon and wrapped some cord through it, added some trims that I had in my stash from Webster's Pages and that would be it! Easy Peasy!

I would like to add this card into the following challenges,

Well that is my card for today.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cardz TV's "You're the Man" Stamp Release Blog Hop Day 2~

Hello my crafty friends!
Welcome to the Cardz TV's "You'e the Man" Stamp Release Blog Hop!!!
I am so happy that you could join us today for day 2 of the hop! If you did not get the chance to hop with us yesterday, you can just go Here and see all the wonderful projects that our design team has created just to showcase this gorgeous stamp set!
You should have arrived here from Laura's blog from the Queen's Card Castle...and now here is what I made.I made this card for my daughter to give to her dad on Father's Day.

I used kraft cardstock for my card base and made this into a regular A2 sized card. This is a one layer card which I rarely never do but I like how this turned out. Masculine cards are always a struggle but this one came together quite easy. The patterned paper is from Colorbok and so is the scalloped die cut. I fussy cut the scalloped die cut and stamped the sentiment "Happy Father's Day" using momento rich cocoa ink. I also stamped the mustache that comes in the stamp set using the same ink, fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam tape to add to the sentiment tag. I added a strip of patterned paper scalloped edged, also from Colorbok. To finish the front of this card off, I added some hemp cord and a rich brown button from October Afternoon. I went ahead and finished the inside.. here is a peek..

I used the same patterned paper on the inside and stamped the sentiments, "Dad" and "You're the BOMB!" in the same momento rich cocoa ink. I added some hemp cord to the top and added these cute glasses(also from the stamp set) up in the corner. I added some glossy accents to the glasses to make them look more realistic.

Well that is my card for today but please make sure to stop on by the Cardz TV blog and leave a comment for your chance to win not 1, but 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps! The winner will be announced on Monday via random.org. Below is a list of the participants in today's blog hop. Please be sure to stop by each one and leave some love. Cardz TV Challenge #16 "Buttons & Boo's"

Today is the beginning of a brand new challenge for

"Buttons & Boo's!"

Starts: Friday, Oct. 5th@ 12:00 am EST
Ends: Thurs, Oct. 11th @ Noon EST
Details: Create a card, layout or craft project for Halloween using Buttons
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
Winner (chosen by random.org) Announced: Friday, Oct. 12th @ Cardz TV

I am so excited about this challenge because I got to use an action wobble on my card and we all know how fun action wobbles are! So here what I created...

My card is standard size 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. My solid cardstock is Bazzill and the cute ghost paper is from Colorbok. I thought this paper was just perfect for my card! I used my Martha Stewart "boo" punch to make the top border on my purple layer. The ghost was cut out at 3" from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. My sentiment is from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps from the new set "Oct. 31st".

I really LOVE Mary's stamps! She has the best quality stamps and always thinks of everything! This set in particular has to be one of my favorites. The sentiments are just perfect for Halloween and that cute bingo card.. ahhh...the endless possibilities!  I HEART Mary! Thank you Mary!!!!

For those of you who have been following my blog, you know that I have been trying to use something that I've had for ages in my stash of tools and supplies on my current projects. So for this card I used the MS Punch and some "fun fur" fibers that I've had for years. I added a bit of the purple fibers above my sentiment.  To finish off my card I added two purple buttons that have some twine going through them that I purchased at The Twinery.  Oh and I did mention in the beginning of my post that I used an action wobble right?? hehehe.. here is my cute ghost wobbling away!

So what are ya waiting for? Get your Halloween Mojo going and link up your creation by Thursday, October 11th by Noon to get yourself in the drawing for one of Mary's amazing stamp sets! I cannot wait to see what you create! To help with some inspiration, stop on by at Cardz TV and see what beautiful projects my design team sisters have created!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

I also cut out the oblong frames using my elegant edges cartridge and they are popped up on foam tape. I used a banner stamp from the "Dilly Dally" set from Making Memories to stamp my banner onto some patterned paper and cut them out. I used some lawn trimmings for the string to hold my banner and to finish off my card, I used the cutest sentiment "Owl be there for you" from Mary's CardzTV stamp set, For the Birds

~Happy Birthday~

Happy Thursday my friends! This week has been flying by, has it been for you?? Heck I think July is already flying by~before we know it all the Holidays will be here. I have been so so excited since making the design teams at Just A Scrappin and Cardz TV that my mind is full of so many ideas that I just cannot wait to share with you! My weekend is going to be a crafty one so I'm hoping to get lots done.

I have a card I want to share with you today that I actually made last week. My mom's birthday is coming up so I decided to make her a birthday card using Mary's CardzTV Stamp set, Happy Days

I used the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from this set and stamped it with my momento tuxedo black ink onto some white bazzill cardstock.

My card base is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and my papers are from Colorbok, Bazzill and Authentique's Free Bird Comfort and Familiar collection. My sentiment layer and the blue layer beneath it were cut using my spellbinder's Fleur de lis rectangles and both layers are popped up on foam tape. I used some liquid pearls to create the pearls on the front of the card.

Here is a peek at the inside:

Well that is all I have for you today.
I hope you all enjoy your day!

Christmas in July Challenge #1- Season's Greetings

Hey Friends! Today I am sharing a card that I made for CardzTV's Christmas in July challenge. The challenge was to create a Christmas card using an animal, so this is what I came up with.

This penquin is too cute!!! I cut him out on my cricut expression at 3". He can be found on the Winter Frolic cartridge on page 57. I used some PK Glitz White Orchid glitter to make his hat glissen and I added some googly eyes because I just love how they look. He's even on an action wobble! Here he is "wobbling"

I used bazzill cream cardstock and Christmas papers from DCVW for this card. My sentiment was inked up using my momento tuxedo black in and is from the My Mind's Eye's 12 Days of Christmas stamp set. The sentiment is popped up on one thickness of foam tape. To finish off my card I added a cute little green button to the corner.

Well that is all I have but there is still time to make your Christmas card using your favorite animal and link it up HERE by midnight EDT tonight! I have some exciting news to share tomorrow so make sure you come back!!

Chihuahua Lovin~

Happy Monday blog friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. It sure was a beautiful day here, sun shining..light breeze.. just a great day to celebrate. My weekend went by pretty fast but lately it seems that the days and weeks just keep flying by. Before I share my card with you today, I would kindly ask and appreciate if you could all say some prayers for me. Tomorrow I am going in to have a mammogram done to determine if my cyst on my left breast is cancer. I have had the cyst for some time now and the doctors have been watching it so I'm really hoping for good news. Ok enough about me and on to my card today....I challenged myself to pick up a cricut cartridge off my shelf that I have not used in awhile(Low and behold I have never used this one yet lol) and create a card using an image from it so I used Cricut Lite Four Legged Friends for this stinkin cute chihuahua!

Isn't he the cutest??? I cut him out at 3" using Bazzill and Colorbok cardstocks and popped him up on some dimensionals onto my 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. I added some glitter to the heart he's carrying from his mouth and gave him some cute wiggle eyes! I added some faux stitching around his ears and the heart for some added dimension. For the actual card I used papers from K and Company's Americana Mat Pad and from Colorbok cardstock. The sentiment and frame are stamps from Our Daily Bread's Designs called Mini Tags 1. I am really starting to like their stamps. They have some beautiful sentiments for every life event and they are so heartfelt and spiritual. Sometimes that is all we need is a little lift and some guidance. My sentiment is also popped up on some foam tape.

To finish off the card I added some gold brads that I had in my stash from American Crafts and I added another little glitter heart to the sentiment for some extra get well lovin! All my edges were inked using tea dye distress ink and my sentiment was stamped with my momento rich cocoa ink pad. Here is a peek at the inside:
